With Halloween just around the corner, we have some real treats in this month’s round-up of CSET research. Our most recent report reviewed the Chinese military’s artificial intelligence-related equipment contracts to assess China’s adoption of AI. This month, CSET also analyzed AI education in the United States using a new data visualization tool, the AI Education Catalog, and a policy brief with recommendations on creating a diverse and defined AI workforce policy. CSET experts examined AI investment in global defense companies, regulatory reform for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, and AI and machine learning’s impact on COVID-19 research. And CSET’s Map of Science is now available as an interactive user interface allowing for the exploration of more than 123,000 clusters of research including 130 million scientific papers.
