CSET’s Helen Toner provided expert insight in an article published by Nikkei Asia that discusses the need for a global regulatory framework for artificial intelligence and the contrasting approaches taken by China and the United States.
Toner commented on the contrasting approaches between China and the United States regarding AI regulation, stating, “When it comes to AI, China is quite different from, say, the United States which has not really done a whole lot of new stuff legally to regulate AI. China has, in fact, been working on this for years.”
