Lauren Kahn, CSET’s Senior Research Analyst, was featured in a radio segment by KCBS Radio. The segment discusses President Joe Biden’s sweeping executive order regulating and guiding the development of artificial intelligence.
This is a wide sweeping executive order. I think it’s rumored to be over 110 pages, so one of the longest ever. And so I think that just speaks to the wide ranging nature. Artificial intelligence is a general purpose enabling technology that can mean a lot of different things in a lot of different contexts. So while this won’t be exhaustive, I think it’s a really great first step in sort of addressing more holistically a lot of the different features, risks, and potential benefits of this technology.Lauren Kahn, CSET’s Senior Research Analyst
