The coming decades will be defined by global development of AI and other emerging technologies. How the United States builds, responds to, and adopts these advances will largely depend on the skill and preparedness of its workforce. While the rapid advance of AI has raised concerns about the future of work, its continued progress also opens up considerable opportunities in the form of new, high-paying career fields and a more productive economy. However, the path we take largely depends on the groundwork that policymakers, educators, civil society, and others lay out today.
On March 10, CSET will host Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester for a fireside chat to discuss her vision for the future of work in America. She will share the steps that she is taking today to ensure the American worker is well-positioned to take advantage of the AI-enabled economy in the years to come. Before and after the fireside chat, audiences will hear from expert panels discussing the current state of the U.S. AI workforce, as well as the policies necessary to ensure our labor force is able to fully meet the demands that AI and emerging technology will bring.
