This month, our researchers analyzed China’s “chokepoints” in emerging technology, testified before Congress, and offered advice on tech collaboration for the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue – also known as the Quad. Our latest issue brief reviewed 35 articles from China’s “Science and Technology Daily” newspaper, translated by CSET into English for the first time, to analyze China’s import dependencies. Our experts offered recommendations on how the United States can reduce offshoring of semiconductor production. In a brief timed to the start of the Quad Leaders’ Meeting, we assessed AI-related research and investment flows to encourage more collaboration between the group. We released two new Data Snapshots within a series using our interactive Private-sector AI Related Activity Tracker to categorize AI companies in the “startup” and “growth” stages. Also included in this month’s Roundup: testimony by CSET Director Dewey Murdick before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Senior Fellow Andrew Lohn before two House Science Subcommittees.
