Julie George

Research Fellow Print Bio

Julie George is a Research Fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), where she focuses on the military applications of Artificial Intelligence, AI governance, and AI efforts involving the public and private sectors. Before joining CSET, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the International Security Program at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Prior to her time at the Belfer Center, she held a predoctoral fellowship at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) and the Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI) at Stanford University. She earned a PhD in Government (International Relations) from Cornell University and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Political Science from Boston University, where she received the Best Thesis Award.
