Emily Tavenner is the Content and Digital Communications Lead at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET). Emily previously served as the communications director for the Technology & Democracy issue area at New America. She also was a senior communications manager at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF). Emily holds a BA in journalism and mass communication from The George Washington University and an MA in intercultural and international communication from American University’s School of International Service (SIS).
